ASTROLOGY & CORONAVIRUS: LINK BETWEEN RAHU & KETU

 

Coronavirus started when Rahu was transiting the sign of Gemini. According to some Vedic texts, Rahu is supposed to feel exalted in Gemini and some texts consider Rahu to be exalted in Taurus. In both these signs, Rahu feels powerful and currently Rahu is transiting the sign of Taurus. We all know that any kind of Virus is very strongly linked to Rahu, as it has the power to mutate. Any kind of mutation happens due to the influence of Rahu and Mercury and Rahu was in the sign of Gemini when all this began. COVID-19 virus also spreads through air and Gemini is an air sign and also represents travelling since it is the original 3rd house, so the link is quite evident and clear. The main thing is that in both these signs, Gemini and Taurus, Rahu feels exalted and at its peak. Along with all this, we are also seeing the rise of IT and Digital infrastructure. Rahu completely rules over the digital world and anything to do with technology. 

When Rahu is so powerful and when we see no end to all this, it is quite obvious that Jupiter, which is the Jeevkaraka must be at its lowest level and we all know that in 2020, Jupiter was debilitated in Capricorn and right now it is transiting Aquarius, which is not that friendly to Jupiter and the sign of Aquarius is again co-ruled by Rahu, so the loop continues. Another interesting observation is that the sign of Taurus represents food  and Rahu is Taurus shows hoarding of food and other resources. That is what people have been doing all this while. Jupiter is the Jeevkaraka and it is the only planet that can control Rahu, but unfortunately it is completely helpless and is not able to do anything. Jupiter also represents Oxygen and we have been seeing what has been happening around us. In 2022, Jupiter would enter the sign of Pisces, which is its own sign and this would happen around the time of April, so we can expect some relief then. In 2022, Rahu would also enter the sign of Aries and would no longer be in Taurus.

Now, coming to Ketu. This is the most interesting placement of Ketu as it is currently transiting the sign of Scorpio, which is said to be  co-ruled by Ketu. In the sign of Scorpio, Ketu feels extremely strong and powerful as its a water sign and the most deepest spiritual sign. Ketu is actually trying to teach us a very important lesson here. It is trying to make the world closer to meditation and is telling us to become more spiritual. It is strongly telling us that in the end, nothing materialistic matters and it is only your spiritual journey is what matters. It is telling us to socially distance from people and is telling is to go inward and become more reflective and intuitive. There is an increased desire in people to practice yoga and meditation. People are also changing their diet and are leaving non-veg. This huge shift is being caused by Ketu. There has also been increase in natural calamities and storms, again caused by Ketu. People around the globe are also becoming more interested in Ayurveda, Holistic healing, Astrology. All this is due to this Ketu energy.
