RAHU IN THE 8TH HOUSE

This is probably the most mysterious placement that one can have in their chart. The 8th house in Vedic astrology is all about mystery, secrecy and hidden dark elements and then you have the most mysterious planet RAHU placed there. This house also represents any kind of change, transformation and unpredictable or unplanned thing in your life. It is also the house that represents inheritance and your In-laws. A planet like Rahu, who is known to give sudden things in our life feels amplified in this house. This placement can be understood as a double Rahu energy placement, where its qualities get multiplied. This placement can go both ways, as in it has a tendency to give extreme results to the native. To accurately assess the results, it becomes extremely important to judge the dispositor of Rahu, which means the sign in which Rahu is placed in. This placement can shower you with many sudden good events like winning a lottery or gaining inheritance, or it can even make the person go towards substance abuse. That is why, it becomes very important to accurately assess this placement as it is very diabolical.

This placement would work extremely well for you if you are in any field related to research, coding, surgery, astrology, audit, finance, work involving risk or deep investigation etc as Rahu tends to bless the native with the knowledge and skills to deal with the 8th house activities. This placement can also make the person extremely intuitive or spiritual, if it occurs in watery signs like Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces. Rahu in Scorpio/Cancer can make an excellent scientific Researcher/ Pharmacist/ Psychiatrist. This placement can also make the person get sudden fame and money if Venus is placed with Rahu. The person will naturally be attracted to the dark side of life and would get fascinated by things connected to the underworld, crime, mystery or ghostly things. This placement can also make the person develop phobias or irrational fears related to certain things. If Rahu is placed with Moon or is in water signs, then it can make the person afraid of water. In Air signs like Gemini, Libra or Aquarius , the person could be afraid of heights. Rahu in the 8th house also makes the person extremely secretive and hidden. It also makes the person's behaviour seem a bit eccentric or unpredictable if ascendant lord is conjunct Rahu in the 8th house.

This placement can also make the person blind towards money and the person would constantly chase money. It can also show that the person could be scared of snakes. In signs like Taurus/Gemini/Libra or Scorpio/Aries, it can make the person lustful and the person could have deep sexual desires. This placement of Rahu also makes the person's eating habits a mess. The person could suffer from some eating disorder or would have something imbalanced with respect to food. This placement is also favorable for individuals who want to settle abroad as Rahu would aspect the 12th and 4th house with this placement. Infact, with this placement Rahu would trouble the native more in his/her own home country. If Rahu rules the 10th house, as in case of Taurus ascendant, then it can even show sudden changes/shifts in work life. This placement also shows that the native's spouse would have a profession which would require them to show their face or their presentation/grooming would matter a lot in their profession. This placement can also make the person work in the oil/gas sector and this placement can be a bit troublesome for the native's father or could also show that the native's father has some foreign connections or lives in a foreign country or away from the native.
